Like air hoses for painting, I've always draped the vacuum hose over my shoulder so I don't have to hold it.

Hose management is an issue. I will sometimes drape the hose over my shoulder, but then the dance starts where you need to be careful about which way you turn so you don't get wrapped up in the hose.

I have zip-tied my electrical cord to my vacuum hose so they move as a unit which helps significantly. Festool is now selling a hose and cord in a zippered cover which is a good idea to keep everything orderly, but of course they want $250 for a 3meter setup. I may sew up a cover for mine.

The pneumatic sanders are nice, but the single loudest piece of equipment in my household is my little pancake compressor. I sold off my 50 gallon compressor for a song because I just couldn't deal with it
