Hi, since no one has answered, I can only tell you how I do it, but as I haven't built the Auk the shape might change things. I don't strip front front to back over the cockpit, and I don't cut my forms to break the cockpit section out later. I mark out on the forms where the cockpit edge should be using a cockpit template and strip just over these lines. That helps escape the tension in the bending of the strips over the cockpit. Then I put my cockpit template on the strips and transfer the shape to the strips and cut out that shape. If the forms get in the way anywhere the jig saw is close handy .
