The sizing regardless of what it is shouldn't have any effect with the resin bonding to the cedar. I suspect that the fabric is harder to saturate and you might have resin starvation at the surface of the wood. Dropping the viscosity of the resin should fix this, easiest way is getting the shop/resin warmer.

Specially in the winter I take my resin and hardener to the house to keep it warm when I'm not in the shop which tends to be cooler. Too expensive to just keep the shop heated up all the time in the winter.
