Regardless- I'm going to give it a try. It would be valuable information to add to the knowledge base.

I actually have some silicone mold material that's a couple years old, but it's not thixotropic, so in this case I don't think it would work. I made some custom wrist braces. You know- wrist in silicone for a female, then plaster of paris for a male rigid enough I could work with it.

I can't get to it immediately- I'm finishing up a house project and starting a new kayak- but I need to fix a gasket before I spend time on the water in that kayak.
