I agree with John, as much as it looks like a canoe, it's really going to be a "I wish I hadn't" project.

If it was in good shape you'd have about 25% of the construction done, but since it's literally not in good shape, I'd say you have about 95% of the work ahead because problems like that baby has will plague you at every step.

Plus when you're done will it paddle for sh*t!?

If on the other hand it's gotten you fired up for a strip canoe you're better off finding a design you'd actually want and start from scratch. Thinking about doing it, wastes a lot of time, which you could put into doing it!

Pass this one on to someone else.
