The surgery went very well. Minimal pain and that is isolated to the points where the titanium was sewed in, I am not taking the prescribed pain medication and doing well. As far as the vision I think it will improve, they expected it to be pretty bad for the first few days. My eye feels better than it has in months. I still have a lot of swelling so my right eye has shifted diagonally about 7 mm which makes my vision incorrect in the opposite direction, when the swelling settle down that should bring it to a 4-5 mm shift which is about right. So for now things like reading still need to be done with one eye . Everything I have learned to do over the last six months need to reversed now which so far has mostly only been humorous. And when emergency mode kicks in I do the opposite of what I should which makes it twice as bad. I am trying to force myself to keep both eyes open to make the muscles work. I have ran into some walls and stubbed my toes. I put my tooth brush in my nose and found for things like that it is best to not use the mirror and rely on muscle memory. Got completely lost in my back yard yesterday evening and only put one foot in the pond when I fed my fish. I do use one eye for things like stairs and such. My wife keeps me from doing anything really dangerous but mostly takes advantage or the entertainment opportunity on the other stuff. I am really optimistic about it all. The real good news is all the doctors seem to be agreeing that neurological disease is unlikely at this point and the lose of all the bone structure around the orbital cavity explains the problem so I think I am on my way to a full recovery.
