You've done an impressive job, congrats!

You boat is very vulnerable and it would be a shame to let it deteriorate.

Covering the bottom with epoxy would be best, and can be done any time.

In the short term you can use the tried and true protection employed by many traditional wooden boats.

Add sacrificial wood skids to the high spots on your hull bottom.

To attach the hardwood (white oak would be a good choice) you could drill through holes with wood caps for bolts.

Or you could drill oversized holes, stuff with a sponge soaked with epoxy, then drill, install a hardwood plug and screw into that.
