Strip: Fiberglassing the seam *PIC*

I hate this part the most! Fiberglassing the seam. I can't seem to get it right. Part of the seam looks great (Photo 2) but the rear of the boat has bubbles on both the deck and the hull (photo 1). Currently, I am waiting for the epoxy to get tacky and will press it down. If that does not work, then I will sand out the bubbles and try again.

I am not worried about making it feather in--I will deal with that later. Any suggestions on how to handle the bubbles now or techniques for future build (or 2nd side). Thanks in advance.
