Couple of things, bias cut tape wraps at a somewhat less angle because the yarns are at about a 45 degree angle compared to the edge you're covering which helps with the lifting. Also make sure it's not a heavy cloth, anything over about 6 ounce won't want to make a tight angle. Also make sure the glass is sized (coated) for epoxy, not all fiberglass is and that sized for polyester won't bond correctly with epoxy not will the sizing break down with the epoxy to allow the fibers to absorb the resin and get soft.
