I am in central New York State. I just shipped a paddle in a long box about the size and weight box a pair of the stands would be, to Chicago via priority mail 2-day for $12.45. Sometimes regular first class parcel post is a little less, but depending on size/weight of package, USPS may only ship priority mail, no choice, that's all they have available or it's the same price as first class mail.
