6 oz inside and out, and the appearance is similar inside. I have used similar construction methods on the other 4 kayaks without any problem. I know I need to strip it off and start over, but just fretting about it. I have used the Raka on another kayak without incident.

Does the inside glass get weak where you heat the outside and strip off the outer glass? I know you use a heat gun and keep it moving enough to get it to peel off.

It's not a de-lamination but an epoxy failure. The epoxy was stressed to the point where it has separated from the glass, not the wood, that's why you see the white dots reflecting the glass weave.

If you say the glass is only four days old and if you used a slow hardener the cure was probably not enough to resist the stress applied.

Remove only the glass in this area. It's on the hull bottom. The heat gun is not going to heat all the way through the wood. Repair one side at a time.

If you don't like it next year, you can remove glass from the whole hull.

And let it cure for a couple weeks without stress.
