Ive had good luck with Plastidip on those clamps.
Hold em open with something, to keep the jaws parallel for dipping. (i used small quick-clamps)
2 coats, about 1-1 1/4" up the leg.

What i've found recently, that works even better, is a small section of narrow bicycle tube. Road tubes for 20-23mm tires are perfect. Also, if you make a longer continuous section,folded into the open jaws and slipped over the legs,
it makes a great clamp for stripping and such.
