My son cracked the nose on a Biadarka without even noticing.

I replaced the tie downs with these.
They hold well, have plenty of capacity, and can't be tightened like lever rachets. You can get different hooks.

They use to be available at Acehardware, but seem to be gone.
Look up "quickie rope tie downs".
