My apologies for posting something so far off-topic, but I participated here a bunch of years ago when I built a pair of Yost boats (a Sea Flea for my daughter and a Sea Tour for myself). Since then, we've downsized and moved into a camper to travel the country (wife, I, and our 2 kids). We've been from coast to coast and the roadschooling for the kids (heck and for me) has been amazing!
Storage is a constant challenge. We'd like to use the space under the master queen bed (60" X 80"), but it's not currently setup for it. What I have is 2 pieces of plywood that the bed sits on. They run sideways on the bed. It's been a while since I lifted the mattress, but I think they're in the neighborhood of 48"x60" and 32x60".
I want to join them together so that I can use one set of struts and tilt the whole bed up.
Now, the catch- I have almost no tools and any supplies I buy will come from a big box store. I know the preferred method is to scarf the plywood and epoxy it together, but I've never done it and don't have a block plane or epoxy.
Thoughts? And many thanks for reading.
