Massive thunderstorms are common in this area.
Hot winds off the prairies hit cold Lake Superior and the thunderstorms blow east over northern Georgian Bay.
And strong winds can last for days so, a weather radio is a must and an eye to the sky is prudent.
Plan at least one rest/wind day in your trip there.
