I think you misunderstood. I am going to do a chevron pattern that is similar to the picture I posted. It will not go down to the sheer but will be an accent down the middle. It will taper from about 5-6' down to 2". My only concern was the sharper curve on the fordeck.
For the history:
If you go to 8/29/15 7:28 am you will see pictures of this boat. It is very fast and handles quite well. But it was too high volume and I did not slope the cockpit to give a snug fit. So I decided to take one inch off the whole top and rebuild with a strip deck. All easily done. Just wondered about the chevron detail and thickness of strips to get the rounded look. I know I can figure it out and was just looking for any thoughts.
btw... The deck came off in one piece. I fastened a 2x4 on the underside to strengthen. It makes an interesting yard ornament and I have been offered $100 for it..
