I don't know how many approaches to strongbacks and molds you have investigated.
It's not a big deal to unfasten a hull and molds from an external strongback, and then re-set the molds in the hull to build the deck. And, in some ways an internal strongback may be even easier (though I don't use one).

Aha! I didn't even realize there were two different kinds of strongbacks - I based my question on what I've seen in Nick's videos. I've done some Googling of "external strongback" and it's hard to tell exactly how it works, but it seems to resolve some of the complexity I was asking about.

Is it accurate to say that with the internal strongback, when you want to work on the bottom you turn the entire thing upside down, while with the external strongback you only flip over the forms?
