I would consider you to be a light weight. I would think that your feet may just fit into the SLT. They should definitely fit the LT.

I know John disagrees, but IMO the LT would be, as I said, "marginally" faster, and more practical for general use. I would regard the LT as a smallish boat for general sea kayaking anyway.

Let us not forget that you were also examining other designs. The Shearwaters are somewhat simpler in their construction than the Cirrusses, with fewer panels in the deck and no internal or external formers beyond the bulkheads. The Cirrus requires three exterior cradles and around ten inner temporary formers if one is following the plans faithfully, which I would advise for a first construction.
