I have some friends who have boated a long time and I have inherited from them some float bags that are from old-school whitewater boats (Dancer and earlier) that are quite long. HOWEVER- float bags are really quite easy to make, and if you have an old one you can steal the flange for the inflation tube they're pretty easy. I have paddled SOFs a lot, and in that setting home made is the way to go. It's nothing fancier than heat seal nylon, a bit of work to get a good pattern, and some ironing. If they're not right you can heat it and re-activate the adhesive and make adjustments (sometimes easier said than done.) i'm sure there are instructions somewhere- but they're really simple. It's not a big deal. The heat seal nylon is cheap, twist valves are cheap.
