The cumulative collective knowledge of sea kayakers confirms that well constructed, durable bulkheads + non-leaking hatches will provide the floatation you'll need, unless, as pointed, your cockpit is filled with bricks and you have only one inch of freeboard.
In such a case you need the Aniti-Graviton, which you turn on the moment you start sinking.
This goes for rigid boats. In SOF, bulkheads are difficult to install, and you use floatbags + sea sock. Actually, if capsize is very likely and you don't want to do much pumping, you can add seasock to the rigid boat. It is also an alternative to bulkheads, but if the seasock pops, you have no floatation at all.
