In my opinion, the saw stop is a neat safety device first, saw a distant second. I thought my unisaw was nice until I used a friend's Powermatic. No comparison. If Powermatic made a saw that had saw stop technology I'd consider it, but I'd never sacrifice the function of a saw for the saw stop technology.
