You need to decide to move the fence on the right with each strip. (my first setup)
Or to move the antikickback part on the left with each strip. (second setup)

Gotcha. My concern with the first option (moving the fence) is accuracy. I know some saws have precision rip fence controls that let you dial in precisely the gap you want, but mine requires a lot of trial and error. I made a sort of "feeler gauge" but even that took a little practice to get my strips to match the old ones when I had to re-set the saw.

With the horizontal featherboard arrangement, I don't see adjusting it each time as a big deal, but my one concern I'd have for myself is that it leaves a free hand, and free hands can get into trouble. Not a criticism! But for me, I like getting into a rhythm where I'm always picking up a push stick in each hand, so if I get distracted and do something stupid, by default I'll be poking with the stick and not with my hand.
