I was aware that S-Glass would be less transparent when wet out than E-Glass, but this was not too noticeable. It is the subsequent reaction of the S-Glass when abraded through sanding or stones during use of the kayak that is interesting. Marks that I would expect E-glass to again go transparent on when varnished or epoxied, remain visible on the S-Glass.

Does anyone have any experience of using other fabrics?
