Interesting! Unfortunately its 240 volts. North American domestic voltage is generally 110 volt.
There are a number of inlay tools available, and what I might try is to cut out a straightened line for a larger accent, but not cut all the way through. Then fit and glue in the new larger and straight accent, while not disturbing all the surrounding material.
