I must of gotten off track.
I thought we were talking about the hull, not the bow and stern.

Rob's the expert on bow and stern at the least.

Hi, Marc - no apology necessary, I totally get how it happens, I'm just sincerely interested in whether it's even possible to avoid that sort of thing in online forums. I'm as guilty as anybody of escalating - for me, being told I'm wrong isn't necessarily a trigger, I don't much care if people think I'm wrong, but what pushes my buttons is when I feel that I'm being mis-understood (which is of course my own problem.) If someone understands what I'm saying and disagrees that's fine, I can let that go, but if I feel like they didn't really hear me then I feel compelled to keep at it - it's a very bad habit that I'm actively trying to squash.

I've found that having a photo helps considerably, though - it makes people real.
