I'm a firm believer in adapting foot position to fit the kayak, rather than the kayak to fit the foot position, provided that you have no physical limitations keeping you from pointing your feet forward rather than keeping them at 90* to your shins. I paddle with traditional leg position- legs straight out in front, not frog-legged like a whitewater kayak- so this may make a difference.
Just something to consider if the limiting factor in your design choice is foot size rather than performance characteristics.
