costs as much for 750ml as 5 quarts of Minwax poly. I was happy with how it worked. There was no real skinning. I don't know if this makes a difference, or if it's an old wives' tale, but I was always taught to store cans upside down. That way if they skinned the skin would not be over the product you needed to use. I did this after I put the Bloxygen in, so I don't know if that had any effect. I can't see how it would make things any different.

It's oxygen that makes the varnish surface skin over. Bloxygen is designed to block the oxygen from contact with the varnish.

Still you must have an air tight container and this is harder to achieve than you think.

I use quart and pint glass jars with mason lids to store varnish. When I use a tight lid and Bloxygen the varnish stays fresh.

If you don't have trouble removing the lid, it's not tight. I have to use a pair of strap wrenches to remove stubbern lids.
