What I have done is the KayakForum Store: http://www.kayakforum.com/Store.html that Steve mentioned. I occasionally update it with stuff I actually use. There is a link in the upper right as well as the ad in the lower right. The more people buy, the better rate I get paid.

I also run google ads. If you use adblock to eliminate ads, like I do, you could turn it off for this site. I try to keep the ads discrete. Just the ads appearing pays a little bit. Actually clicking through to a product you are interested in pays me more.
