It's good to bounce ideas back and forth with someone, helps to gain a good perspective on things.
I have thought about taking some lines and dimensions from a OC1 while on my next trip down to Clearwater, if the guys at the paddling Club there are OK with letting me take information from their boat. It would give me a better idea of Iako size shape and placement, seat placement, hull rocker, hull stations... With that information I might be able to develop a hull shape and have a fair chance for a boat that would float. I do understand about trying new unproven designs. I have built several boats that were in their design proto phase, this surfski I'm doing now happens to be one of them.
