I agree, magnetic table top. Best is cast iron.

I must be old fashioned, I'm actually looking for a heavier duty table saw, one that is heavier not lighter with more power. Worst problem with portable saws is not enough power, they can be dangerous if they stall while cutting.

I'll either end up with a cabinet saw or one of the new hybrid saws that are a bit less money, still at around 300 lbs. not what you'd call portable.
