Strip: weight of extra layer of glass?

It figures out that adding a second layer of 4 ounce glass cloth to the outside of the hull below the waterline will add about 9 ounces to the hull (cut to fit and weighed). Does anyone know, or Is there a 'rule of thumb' to calculate how much extra weight the epoxy will add by adding the second layer?
