You do realize the "old school" blackening agent for epoxy is Graphite powder. You can make a darkening epoxy just by adding less or fully opaque by adding more. Its fairly inexpensive and usually available at all epoxy suppliers. On time I need a small batch and just took a carpenters pencil and rubbed away on sandpaper. You might find it at a hardware store (sometimes used in locks).
