I have been using Nick's Robo-bevel this week on a new build. I give it full marks on the design, and have been getting nice tight fits from strip to strip. Also, stripping seems to move more quickly.

Chip build up is the only slow down in the planing process, as Nick points out in his video, but I'm getting on to clearing it when packs into the tiny plane.

North American tools are becoming rare, and Veritas tools are top shelf, made in Ottawa, Canada, which really compliments Nick's tool. There is a Lee Valley Tools store in my town, but I have to keep my visits to a minimum or I'll break the bank. I'm not really sure how to sharpen that tiny blade in the miniature shoulder plane though, so any advise on that will be appreciated.

I listened to a CBC radio show today with a feature about the Lee Valley company. It started as a mail order company, and was able to combat competition from the big box stores by stocking quality products with full disclosures on their products (where they are made and what to expect). No commission sales staff, and each employee receives an equal annual profit share, and that's equal for each employee right to the top executives!
