This is an interesting discussion with lots of good hints on building techniques.
It does illustrate that there may be some advantages in the 'old-fashioned' (Ted Moores) style of building:
External strongback
Strip hull and sand carefully without moving or disturbing it; relying on the glued-together strips for minimal integrity.
Glass outside of hull.
Remove hull from forms
Glass inside of hull, supporting hull in shaped cradles or slings
Immediately re-insert forms into hull (a good time for hot melt glue, if you haven't used it already for other steps)
Strip deck, etc....
Until I get epoxy on to a hull or deck, I expect it to change shape or crack easily, so I'm quite nervous and careful.
