I started this boat about 6 years ago with intentions of finishing it, but ended up moving, having kids, and all of the other things that happen in life. Seeing as I haven't touched it in five years, and am storing it at my in-laws house, I should probably try to get rid of it. Since Okoume-Fest is coming up nearby this weekend, I thought I might take it up there to see if anyone has any interest in such a project - and check here, as well.
It is a Bjorn Thomasson Njord design, stripped out of cedar and covered in 3.2 oz fiberglass (2 layers on outside, 1 on inside I think). I put graphite on the bottom and planned to paint the deck, so there is a little primer on there. I added a little extra height to the deck for footroom (per plan option), and started but didn't finish an ocean cockpit. The hull is complete, other than finish sanding, but not joined, and there are no bulkheads, hatches, etc. yet. I have a bunch of extra materials, including enough cloth for another whole boat, a skeg assembly, fiberglass tubing for deck line fittings, etc. I think my epoxy is too old to be trustworthy, however.
I'm looking to get maybe a few hundred bucks for everything, if there is interest. The boat currently lives in Prince William County, VA (DC suburbs), but I can bring to Okoume-Fest next weekend, too. Let me know if you may be interested. I'll try to attach pics here, too. Thanks!
