Nick, you may have responded tongue-in-cheek, but I perceived from your associated YouTube video comment, the Robo-Bevel has taken quite a chunk of your time to produce, just meeting the demand of all of us. Did you think we wouldn't respond en masse? I will repeat my response from over there: I appreciate immensely that you are personally making these tools. I believe that your craftsmanship adds significantly to the value of this tool; I wouldn't want to pay nearly as much as I did if I knew that someone else was manufacturing it for you.

Mostly, I appreciate your change in technique from bead and cove to beveled strips. I was really questioning whether cove/bead strips were the best way to go. This tool provides the answer.

The most important lesson I have learned is that there is not necessarily a single perfect method of boat-building, but there is the right method matching the we find it easiest to achieve a good-looking and well made end product.

Thanks for the Robo-Bevel: it and the Veritas plane make up the coolest tool I own!
