What you see is what I got.

But the Ombre finish is what was requested. The taper to a darker finish.

There were other schemes where there was some kind of a taper.
One was clearly darker strips at the back and front tapering to lighter in the center, but the taper was done by strips cut at about a 6/1 angle, mated to the opposite cut.
