It went well enough. Sewed the cut shut, gooped on the PL Premium, and painted over it. Sure can tell there was a repair there, but I'll be really surprised if the drag is enough to throw off the tracking (Ha!). My paddling technique is probably worse than any drag from the raised repair. I'll see if I can't grab a photo of it tomorrow.
Haven't gotten out on the river with it yet, though. Between the construction on the Rexford Bridge preventing me from launching on my side of the river, the recent rains turning the Mohawk River muddier than the Great Miss, and me being recently diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis (still working on a treatment plan), I haven't been able to paddle. Hoping to get out in the next couple of weeks, though.
