Looking for advise on best way to repair a kayak with damage. This is an Artic tern 17 High, I bought used and enjoyed it, but it was damaged in shipping when we moved. The crack has torn apart the wood, so the damage inside is about 1.5 away from the crack on the outside. This is right in front of the rear bulkhead in the cockpit. The bulkhead probably saved the boat from worse damage. I built a Pygmy coho a year or two after it came out many years ago(stolen from storage when stationed overseas), but otherwise no boat building or wood working experience. I can't see if there is damage in the rear behind the bulkhead because the builder put a huge amount of spray foam on the top of either side of the rear bulkhead wood.
