If you use the anthropometric measurement system that's typically used for traditional Greenland-style boats, it's essentially self-compensating since it's based on your body measurements. If you build a boat that you can fit in, it will likely have plenty of capacity.

As a big guy ... I always verify adequate freeboard using Carlson Hulls, Delftship or Freeship ... because I don't quite trust anthropometric measurements when applied to big guys.

Are you aware of any instances where anthropometric measurements were used and the kayak turned out to have inadequate capacity?
