The problem with lots of "pretty" long ended fairly short kayak designs is they have very short waterline lengths thus make it difficult to stay with the group. A 14' kayak with short ends can usually easily cruise at a speed near what a group with longer kayaks keep.
If she wants pretty long ends she'll need a longer kayak, or settle for a shorter kayak design with more plumb ends to maximize the waterline length. Overall length means little.
