I know having the sheer marked on the plans helps but it's not the total solution. You really need to fair in your own line on the forms after they are set up and trued using a long batten, using a full length strip will work fine, then you can find the true location and mark that on the forms.

Wood battens, assuming relatively straight grain, won't assume an unfair curve unless forced.
