Let me start by saying, I'm not a marine engineer or anything close to that, so take everything I say with great caution. Since I had all the forms and didn't know how to modify them I used them all. I just measured the back of the cockpit to the nearest rear form on the 18 footer and used that measurement, the small measurement that I was off did not affect the kayak. Perhaps someone with brains will chime in that has boat knowledge and marine drafting skills. By the way I spaced 18 forms 10-21/32",hope that helps, my dear friend Bill Hamm may have an answer, best of luck. Nick R.
