m has it right.

light sand around the ding, epoxy, packing tape over the top, let it harden/maybe a little additional heat to hasten a quick cure. you could be ready to go in 12 hours. i have had some dings bigger than your that i definitely handled in 24 hours or less.

if you want to spend another 15 minutes, a single piece of 4 or 6 oz glass over the epoxy and before the packing tape.

i would avoid '5 minute epoxy' from the store unless you are absolutely assured it is marine grade.
