Looks good!
I made a similar ding in my North Star the other day, and took the trouble to "do it properly" - cutting out the damaged wood and replacing it, and to my surprise it only took an hour or so.
But then I got criticized on here for not just filling it with epoxy!
I wouldn't sand it for at least a week, epoxy takes a long time to fully cure
