I just bit the bullet and ordered fiberglass tubing from Soler. I searched everywhere but was unable to find an alternative. It was hard to pay the shipping price but I in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal. The funny thing is I worked in NH for about 10 years, if I was still there I could have just driven down the road to the store.

I'm near Ottawa. The best general boat building supply I found is Noah's in Toronto. That's where I got the bulk of my supplies; plywood, fiberglass, epoxy, etc... It's a small shop and their web site is primitive, but they were very helpful.
