With a minimum of care it should be fine. The wood core will not shrink or expand significantly, and the fiberglass layer on both sides of the wood is very thin and will arm up, or cool down, rapidly when the temperature around it changes.

The same type of construction is used on many "fiberglass" snow skis, a wood block core covered with glass-reinforced plastic. They go from snow to over-heated warming huts and back again for decades with no apparent damage--unless you put them too close to a stove and they burn.

Allow a few minutes to acclimate, 5 minutes should be more than enough, and you should be good.
