Lyall Bay - Wellington, New Zealand - the beach makes for steepish waves here as well - there's a break at one side but the rest has a tendency to dump quickly. To be honest I don't go out much in the matunuck - the beach has so many surfers I find it difficult getting a bit of space - I should man up and go in winter but that's when the rain's falling on the local rivers...
