The skin doesn't weigh much, the weight is in the frame. Agree with Mike that adding support under the rear deck may be a good thing.

The SOF I did with bulkheads and hatches had too many variables in one boat, was partially strip planked to get round bilges and has bulkheads and hatches. I was doing it on the cheap so it got heavy, still it's only around 35-37 lbs. for the whole boat.
