I build my first wood kayak about 3 years ago and have fallen in love with building them. My first build was a Redfish "Spring Run" from a kit. Second was a One Ocean Kayaks "Cirrus SLT" S&G kit I build for my 9 yr old son. I'm building a second Spring Run currently with the deck raised 1" to give my size 13 feet some additional room. My wife bought me plans for a Laughing Loon "Firestar" recently and it will be my next build.... Oh, professionally, I'm an executive with a great big telecommunications firm but would rather be in my shop than at work!
